I recently reviewed all the blog posts I've ever written for myself, starting in 2002! Some Thursdays I'll be reposting from my archives just for fun. The post below was originally published September 16th, 2002. Note my super-creative title. :) It's funny - Jordan looks so much older now, but Justin and I haven't aged a day (although we've definitely attained some wisdom along the way). Haven't witnessed a bar fight or any antler stealing in ages! ;)
I suppose it's time for an update. Even Heather has updated her blog, so I know I am falling behind. I was going to say that not too much has been happening, but that isn't entirely true. The reception, as I'm sure all of you know, went off smashingly...although I didn't get to spend as much time with my friends (that means ya'll) as I would have liked. Oh well...I'm sure I will see you all again someday. (Heather I hear you're planning a little trip, and I was thinking, maybe I can swing it). Justin and I got a lot of fun presents for our reception, so that was cool. (And thank you notes will be out any day now, really, just need to buy some, write 'em all out, get stamps, and then drop them in the mail box, no sweat).
I got to spend a few days away from my baby boss. Justin and I went camping over Labor Day weekend. He was in a softball tournament up north and we camped out with the whole team. It was a lot of fun, and some crazy stuff happened too...bar fights, antler stealing...I don't think our team will be allowed into the bars next year. Anyway, it was fun.
Other than that life has been pretty busy but dull. Lydia, Brandon and the boys moved out, so we moved upstairs. My sister Eve moved in to the downstairs bedroom, and she's got the bathroom down there too, but the rest of the place is all ours. Having all this space and quiet is great, but we're taking forever to get everything put where it's going to go. We had to buy some more furniture and move a bunch of stuff back from Justin's brother's basement where we were storing it. Also, Jordan misses his cousins and I miss Lydia because every day is really boring now. Oh well...I guess I will just have to try to get out more now.
Speaking of which, Danielle and I just found out yesterday that the Stereophonics, who we have been trying to see in concert for like 5 years (and actually had tickets to see on 9/11 the year the towers got hit - so obviously it was cancelled) are going to be in Chicago on Thursday. Of course we have to go and I am madly searching for a sitter.
